I originally had a small sample of this cream which I tried while on vacation. I was genuinely thrilled by how rich and smooth it is and immediately purchased this when i arrived home. A little bit goes a long way.

L'Occitane Almond Concetrate
Does a nice job moisturizing. Absorbs well. Smells okay.

An almost 'edible' sweet-smelling body moisturizer that hydrates but is slightly on the greasy side. The cream itself is not thick, it's very emulsion-like and it absorbs quickly. However it leaves a slightly oily film on my skin. In terms of hydration it's very middle of the road, neither on the rich end of the spectrum nor the light, just an average moisturizer yet with a greasy after feel. Some of the things I'm not so keen on are: the ingredients - far too many unpronounceable things in here and not enough of the good stuff (20/80 ratio of good vs questionable). It's also perfumed, and not just lightly but quite heavily, and probably the reason why some people mention breaking out from using this. And lastly the exaggerated claims...this one apparently 'visibly firms skin', though how it manages to do that when there isn't a single skin firming ingredient in here, is beyond me! Ingredients and claims aside I do love the almond-perfumey fragrance in here, it's unique! Would be perfect if the Almond note could be taken up a notch and the underlying floral perfume note turned down slightly. If I found this in a significant sale I'd likely repurchase, though at full price though it's just not justifiable to me spending that much on something that's just a basic moisturizer. Feels very overpriced for what it is/does. -> My 'Ulta Beauty Top 7 must-have list' (My 7 favorite beauty products of all time, focusing mainly on my purchases at Ulta) < - < 1.
