In general, I like Mario Badescu products because they are so mild. This is mild, and I think if you want a clay mask, this is great. I bought it because of the Vitamin C claim. I use this as a mask after I steam clean my face and neck. I apply this mask and let dry, then wash off using upward strokes.

In general, I like Mario Badescu products because they are so mild. This is mild, and I think if you want a clay mask, this is great. I bought it because of the Vitamin C claim. L-ascorbic acid works great on my skin because the pH of my skin is too high. The Vitamin C in here is Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate which I guess is a fairly new ingredient. It's a pH of 7 which is different from L-ascorbic acid which has a pH of 3. So, this didn't work on my face. I'm guessing the high pH is also why people with sensitive skin are not reacting to it. For me, with my sensitive, high pH skin, I didn't see a benefit.
Visibly Brightens
If you're looking for a clay mask that's gentle, doesn't over exfoliate, and brightens the complexion, then this is the one. It definitely detoxes the skin, and when I take it off I notice my skin does look brighter and feel smoother. Great multitasker for detoxing and brightening facial skin & complexion.
