As I was reading the other reviews, I was a little worried about using this product. People are saying it stinks and that the packaging is misleading because it's a self tanner well hello it says right on the bottle tan boosting gel!!! So yeah it is supposed to enhance a tan on your natural skin, this product is NOT overwhelming whatsoever I got out the shower and rubbed it all over with my bare hands just like it said on the back of the bottle, I woke up with a nice glow! Not orange! It wasn't extremely orange or tan. I didn't wash my hands very well so I only seen a little bit of residue between my fingers and on my wrist. So just that was a little orange. I even rubbed it all over my face! This is a very subtle tan enhancement. I could tell a little difference in the color of my skin. I have used b.Tan glow your own way self tanning gel and that stuff right there you have to be careful with! You will turn streaky or orange if you do not apply it that right way…. So this stuff right here It's pretty simple I like it! You just have to apply evenly and wash your hands good.
stinky self tanner
Okay WOW. So I usually use the Maui Babe tan sealer but I wanted to try this one as it was a few dollars cheaper. Nowhere on the bottle does this say it is a self tanner— to the untrained eye. I am NOT a self-tanner girlie and did not know that this "DHA" listed on the bottle is a VERY common self tanner ingredient. And as a girl who does not self tan and has never wanted to, BOY DOES THIS STTTIIINNNK. The smell haunted me for days. It's not worth it. The smell alone made me feel deserving of financial compensation for the mental turmoil it put me through. It makes you smell like you're covered in dirt. They should update the packaging to make it more clear that this is a self tanner.
Misleading and does not say is self tan
Bought this product for my vacation where i was tanning a lot. I got burnt and put this on as it said it helps with burns and enhances your tan. After i put on my body i noticed a smell of self tan but didnt think anything of it. I woke up the next day with a streaky brown tan all over my body on top of my burn. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOU DONT WANT A FAKE TAN!!
What even is this product?
I bought this for a vacation where id be spending a lot of time in the sun and needed a soothing after-sun gel. At first the smell and application is pleasant, but then after it dried down it smelled suspiciously of self-tanner. The bottle doesnt offer much help and doesnt state that its a self tanner, but im definitely thinking this is one. not necessarily bad, but not what i wanted. will probably be returning.
This is a self tanner beware
Package info is misleading. It is not just a lotion, it is a self tanner. Big issue if you aren't precise with application. Your hands etc will turn orange. The smell is good in the bottle but on the skin it has the chemical self tanner smell after about 30 minutes (this is what alerted me to the self tanner ingredients). The package does not state this anywhere. Buyer beware.
