Maui Babe Browning Lotion Tanning Salon Formula

I see there are a lot of mixed reviews on this. I bought it 2 months ago and wanted to use it a while before reviewing it. I love the smell, it's hard to explain but maybe read the ingredients if you're concerned. It's smells sweet, slightly coffee, maybe even a bit like brown sugar. It's thick and really moisturizes your skin. I liked it so much I ordered the formula for tanning outside. I use a stand up tanning booth, once to twice a week.

Not full of tons of chemicals like most tanning lotions, also very moisturizing the smell is addicting and smells natural. This got me very dark and brown color not orange.

I absolutely love the coconut smell, I don't get the other reviews but if you like tropical coconut this is great. it's also my first time ever to use a tanning bed, 5 minutes and amazing results. Definitely gonna stick with this stuff

I wouldn't recommend this product for indoor tanning. The smell is not pleasant and the texture is a combo of greasy and sticky but most importantly, I don't think it helps give great results. If you can't buy the expensive tanning salon lotions, you would be better off buying what is available in drug stores or the big box stores. I don't want to waste the bottle, but I can't wait until it's finished.

I have used the original Maui Babe Browning Lotion for outdoor tanning for over 10 years. It's amazing. The indoor formula is exactly the same as the original except it has sunflower and safflower oils instead of mineral oil because they say mineral oil can damage tanning bed acrylic. The original may have more coffee in it because it appears darker in color. But other than that, they feel and perform exactly the same in my opinion. You could use the indoor formula outside as well! The negative reviews all seem to complain about the same 2 things: the smell and greasiness. It smells like coffee, kukui nut oil and aloe. I personally love the smell and it prevents that burnt skin tanning bed smell. As for it being greasy, you need to shake it up VERY WELL before use and use more sparingly than you would a typical tanning lotion. It's also super important to rub it in extra thoroughly. But with that said, this is an oil based product so it's going to feel a bit oily and very different than your typical salon tanning lotions. I have used it in both stand up and lay down beds with no problem, but I apply less when using the lay down bed to prevent leaving behind a bunch of residue. This product is not going to accererate tanning as well as a fancy salon tanning lotion, but it does work and it has natural ingredients. It's also way cheaper than any of the lotions sold at my tanning salon. My skin has been feeling so soft since using this! I also use the Maui Babe after browning lotion (white one) and it is fantastic.
