Not what I expected
Shea Moisture is a great brand. I have their shampoo and conditioners. I haven't used many of their natural curls products. However, I got this and used on my biracial girls hair. It smells great. A lot of residue and tangled
This will make your hair smell nice but throughout the day you're gonna feel the residue and it's almost like the product breaks down so it's not an all day use. I put this in my hair when it was dry and it was significantly sticky. Then I tried it when my hair was wet. It took a long time for my hair to dry, but when it finally did dry, there were curls however, if you were to touch my hair, you would need to wash your hands. Alongside where the gel was, I forgot to mention that it breaks your face out, so alongside of where my hair falls down my chin on the side burns there are breakouts. The formulas have changed and it is not geared towards someone with my hair texture I fear.

Whenever i use this gel, after i let my hair air dry it always ends up frizzy no matter how much i use.

I gave this two stars because although initally it does "define and shine" and smells great, it leaves your hair so incredibly DRY and flaky! My hair is gasping for some hydration, honey. I truly thought it was a new shampoo I started using until I went back to my wash day basics and continued to use this product for two weeks thereafter. Would not buy again and sadly do NOT recommend. 3b/3C hair for reference..

I do have 3B thin curls and the product is intended for thick curly hair so I wouldn't recommend to similar hair types.
Favorite Hair Gel
I have loose curly hair that gets really frizzy, adding this gel to my hair routine gives my curls so much definition and eliminates frizz. The smell is sooo good.
