Not worth the hype
I have 3B/3C natural curls. When I style my hair in sections I end up with a mix of huge clumps I have to manually pull apart and stringy curls I have to either run the brush through again or finger style. I find the Denman brush works best for my curls when I do one curl at a time, but if I'm going...

I purchased the original black Denman brush based on it's reputation as THE brush for thick curly 3B hair, and wanted to see if the hype was real. This brush did not disappoint. The bristles are long enough to go through and detangle my wet hair. They were also very firm and noticeable on my scalp while brushing. I did compare it to my Wet brush for brushout with detangling spray conditioner, serum oil and pulled the brush with a curve flip of the wrist through my hair. I noticed a moderate difference in curl separation between the two brands of brushes. I do prefer the Denman brush for separating and defining my wet curls with product. TBH I had my doubts that an expensive hair brush could make a difference in my curls, but it did. There's a reason this brush has been around for almost 100 years and a staple amongst hairdressers. Happiness ☺️
Simply the BEST brush made
Hair Type Wavy Hair
Needed a new Denman brush, and saw this cute printed version in the Ulta store so snagged one. GREAT and beautiful sitting in my drawer.
Never thought I'd love a haribrush
Hair Type Wavy Hair
I have wavy hair and bought this brush as a styler for my post-wash routine. But I use it all the time because the firm bristles feel amazing on my scalp and it's the first time I feel like every tangle or spot of hairspray/product is actually brushed through. Amazing!
Not For Fine Hair
Hair Type Wavy Hair
I have fine, wavy hair, this brush is sooooooo heavy and rubbery/sticky. It rips my hair out :( I can see how this weight and grip would be great for hair types thicker, coarser, and curlier than mine. I'm throwing it away. I tried, but my hair cannot handle it and it's causing damage.
