Cetaphil Water Gel Moisturizer

I received this water gel moisturizer complimentary from Influenster and Cetaphil in exchange for my honest review. First of all, this is unscented, as are all of the Cetaphil products that I am aware of. You don't have to worry about any kind of unpleasant or overpowering smells with this for those...

Not For Me

I wish I hadn't wasted my money on this. I typically prefer a gel moisturizer, but this is awful. It doesn't feel like it absorbs and stays sticky. When I'd get my face wet to wash it in the morning or evening, even if all I had on was the moisturizer, it would make my face feel slimy. Don't even think about trying to wear foundation over it, because it will all pill up in little gross clumps.

New Holy Grail

I am a long-time user of the Clinique 24h hydration gel, and only just found out how terrible the ingredients are. My ingredient checking app recommended this as a replacement and I am beyond impressed. I have mostly neutral skin but lean slightly more toward oily than dry, and this soaks right into my skin without leaving a greasy or heavy feeling; also a plus when I wear makeup because there is no residue affecting my base. It's been an exceptionally dry winter, and while the rest of my body is suffering, my face feels incredible. Cannot recommend this stuff enough

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

This works great for my combo, sensitive skin. I have mild rosacea and I tolerate this well! Works well under makeup also.

Dries sticky like hair gel

Doesn't completely absorb and leaves the skin a little sticky. Reminds me of hair gel. I've used other gel moisturizers and the texture is nothing similar to this. Didn't cause breakouts but didn't hydrate well and hated the texture.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
