- Q
Can i use this with my vitamin c serum?
- Asked by Hubear
- Official Answer By Good Molecules - Brand EngageThe Discoloration Correcting Serum can be used with a vitamin C serum. The key ingredients in the serum are cetyl tranexamate mesylate (a tranexamic acid derivative) and niacinamide. Studies show that tranexamic acid is compatible with vitamin C. Outdated research from the 60's has suggested that pure vitamin c, or l-ascorbic acid, cannot be combined with niacinamide but these studies were done using non-stabilized forms of both ingredients. Niacinamide and Vitamin C are safe/stable nowadays and can be used together. Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Is this good for dried patches on face
- Asked by Kala
- Official Answer By Good Molecules - Brand EngageThe Discoloration Correcting Serum is formulated to help improve the appearance of dark spots, acne scars, melasma, and sun damage. While it will not further exacerbate dry patches, we recommend the Hyaluronic Acid Serum instead if that is the main concern as opposed to hyperpigmentation. Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Would this serum help with evening out redness? Or is it for hyperpigmentation only?
- Asked by Emily
- Official Answer By Good Molecules - Brand EngageThe Discoloration Correcting Serum targets dark marks and hyperpigmentation. For redness, we would recommend using the Niacinamide Serum or 5% Niacinamide Serum with Ectoin instead. Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Can I use this with bha/aha's?
- Asked by Sierra
- Official Answer By Good Molecules - Brand EngageWhile the Discoloration Correcting Serum can be used with AHAs and BHAs, it may diminish the results of cetyl tranexamate mesylate a bit, so it is best to use separately. Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Can this be used with a niacinamide serum? Or should it be just one?
- Asked by Gwen
- Official Answer By Good Molecules - Brand EngageThe Discoloration Correcting Serum can be used along with the Good Molecules Niacinamide Serum. However, there is already 4% niacinamide in the Discoloration Correcting Serum and the Niacinamide Serum contains 10% of the ingredient. While there is no harm in layering the two products, it may be a better idea to alternate if the skin is sensitive to higher percentages of niacinamide.

Keeps my melasma in check without irritation
Thrilled to see Good Molecules at Ulta! I first purchased the *Discoloration Correcting Serum* last year as part of a trio (which included the *Niacinamide Toner* and *Daily Brightening Serum*) to combat melasma as well as hyperpigmentation left by acne rosacea and eczema flares. I'd run out of a pr...

not for sensitive skin
After a lot of trial and error and money spent on quality skincare, I had finally gotten my sensitive skin to a point where it was staying soft, smooth, and relatively hydrated, and I was very pleased. I do have some melasma from intense sun exposure in the past, and it is the one skincare problem I...

Did not work for me
The product did not work for me after using it consistently.
I lovee this stuff
I have been using the skinceuticals discoloration defense for years and wanted to opt for something chesper and wow I feel like this is just as good for a fraction if the price. I haven't seen super drastic results but my skin is looking more even.
Slight difference in Dark Spots
I have a history with cystic acne and scarring. For the price, this product works well at slightly dimishing dark spots. I've been using it for about 4 months now and have noticed subtle lightening of my scars. I thin this product's results are best shown with long term use. A good cheap option to start out with if you want to begin lightening dark spots.
Amazing Product
I started using this product in February and I already have seen tremendous results with my skin. I apply this serum directly after washing my face. 10 out of 10! I will totally recommend.
