Cetaphil Everyday Sunscreen Tinted Face Lotion SPF 40

I'll start out by saying this is not a bad product, I just…wish I liked it more. It's an affordable SPF 40 tinted mineral sunscreen that is fragrence free. I went into using this expecting and hoping to love it. However, the tint is quite orange-y, and initial application gives some "peanut butter baby" vibes. Also, I'm not sure which ingredient it is exactly, but after initial application my skin starts to tingle in an almost uncomfortable way. Perhaps the caffeine, which I've never had an issue with having it in skincare in the past and given its antioxidant properties and benefits of improving UVB protection I was all for having it, but as it is higher up in the ingredient list, I wonder if the concentration is a little too strong for me. Overall, I don't hate this. Once it has had some time to be on the skin it doesn't look quite so dewy/borderline greasy (which I don't hate but if you already have oily skin I would keep this in mind.) I would not say this is very hydrating and would recommend using a moisturizer under this. I don't think I'll buy it again, but I'm going to use it up.

I can wear this alone or under make-up without noticing I even have it on. I've never worn sunscreen regularly because it always felt heavy, sticky or stiff or it irritated my skin and made me break out. I've been wearing this everyday and it's been wonderful. I have to wear mineral sunscreen so that used to limit my options as well. The tint in this is perfect for me YMMV. Does not change tint late in the day or look orange at all. I love this! I hope they never change it.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] So I normally don't wear sunscreen very much until the last couple years especially on my face. So far from what I can tell this product works great. It's very light scented, the texture is smooth and the way its packaged there's no leaks. It stays closed. As the hotter days start to come for summer will be the real test but as I said from what I can tell already just on warm days this definitely keeps my skin protected from the sun!

What a fun product to receive! Sunscreen is so important for the face, and I know so many women that forget to apply it. I was pleasantly surprised to receive this product in exchange for my free review. When you first squirt the lotion out, it's very light. However, it blends into the skin fairly easily, but does leave a little bit of a tint. For people with darker skin, there are probably sunscreens better suited. There is a little bit of an odor, but it is not overwhelming. The texture is smooth, and easy to apply when rubbing into skin.
