Oh this is so lux and intense in the best way! First this cream goes a very long way. If you wanted to use this during day I would use just the tiniest amount. Perfect topper if you use Retinol!

I use retinol around my eye area to prevent and tackle early signs of wrinkles and it can be drying. The Extra Repair Eye Cream Intense is the ONLY eye product (and I've tried many) which works to keep my eyes hydrated. I use it at night time over my retinol eye treatment and I never have any dryness. The skin around my eye area is plump and super hydrated in the morning and ready for my concealer. I enjoy how thick the product is which is just what you need when using retinol - it is soothing, fragrance free, non irritating and my dark circles have significantly reduced since I started using this product. It's a LOVE. I buy back ups of this stuff and as long as it's available I will always re-purchase.

Unsure why the decision was made to replace Extra Cream and Balm with Extra Intense, not a fan. Similar to other one (1) star raters Extra intense doesn't live up to the efficacy of the Extra cream and balm. Sadly, I will be seeking similar products outside of the Estee Lauder family of companies, but will keep an eye out to see if you return one or both of your most stellar products. Please do not send me the pre formatted email about a rep contacting me to identify a product that could work for me, there isn't one. I made it a point to purchase Intense and it doesn't measure up to the others. I hope the powers that be reconsider their decision, it's clear you will have many loyal customers ready to make the purchase.

This new version of the extra repair eye cream has a very gritty texture. It feels like there are exfoliating granules in it. Unfortunately, the grittiness of this eye cream irritates my eyes. It also doesn't help with dark circles or wrinkles like the older version did. I love the extra repair face cream but this is too harsh on the under eyes. It really should be a smooth creamy formula for the under eyes.
