Love the eye shadow - hate the applicator
For at least the past 20 years I've bought my favorite eye shadow from CoverGirl. I love everything about it except the eye shadow applicator falls apart within a month. It's hard to find replacement tips that will fit into the compact. Time to up the glue game!

Why not more matte shades?
As a working woman over age 50, it's inappropriate for me to be wearing shimmery or glittery shades to work. CG, have you forgotten about us older ladies and our need for a matte finish that will not only fill in our wrinkles but make us look good?

The pigment is just right. It blends nicely. It stays on for the whole day. Easy to use And its easy to carry. I can wear this eyeshadow everyday or for dress up or dress down.

I have been using Cover Girl Eye Enhancers eye shadow for over 5 years, every day, and never had a problem until I purchased the new formulation in the exact same shade/color I always wear. Not only is it much more glittery now, but it caused an awful allergic reaction, almost like a burn, on my eyelids. My eyelids where the eye shadow was applied became red, swollen, and burn so badly. I've never had this problem from any eye makeup I've used before. When I stopped using the new Eye Enhancers shadow my eyelids eventually healed. Then I started using the Eye Enhancers shadow again just in case the reaction was to something environmental and not the eye shadow, but then I got the same reaction again.

Agree with all the other reviews. The new formula is terrible! I've used French Vanilla as a base shadow for as long as I can remember. There was no reason to put sparkle in this what used to be a "matte" color! You had other shades to add sparkle if needed. It is so disappointing to have to begin a new search to replace what used to be a great product you could depend on.
