b.tan Forever + Ever Self Tan Mousse

On the plus side it has a catchy name, but the pluses end there. For reference, I am fair to medium, and typically use medium to dark in other brands to get best results. On the bottle, shade was called ultra with 3 tint shade squares of 5. After shaking it vigorously, I applied it to my tanning mitt, and it spurted out as a dark ink, not fluffy mousse. The watery consistency immediately dripped off the mitt, and stained the rug. Obvi I'm aware that tanning products stain, but I have decades of experience applying self tanner mousse, gel, spray and lotion products, and had no expectation a mousse product would spurt out like ink. After application, i could see the blots and streaks. I did my best to 'feather' the product, but it stains upon application, so it is impossible to distribute evenly. It smells horrid, and pigment clings to every pore, despite thorough exfoliation prep. I stopped after doing just one leg, let it dry naturally, and within minutes, the pigment turned green! Not olive, as some self tanners may initially turn prior to wash off, but a neonish tinge of kelly green. The streaking and blotting was so bad, and by this time, set in. I bought 2 brands, so decided to use Bali Body Mousse in Dark shade on the other leg. What a difference! The smell, color, consistency and distribution were divine. I rinsed off as instructed, but the odor locked in, and took a day before it disappated. I had to remedy the color by using washable tanning products Sol de Janeiro and Lorac to camouflage the flaws. I have tried many brands over the years: St. Moriz, St. Tropez, Maui Babe, Loreal Sublime, Jergens, Coola, Kapari, and Bondi Sands, in every application form, and b.tan is by far the worst. I would love to return this, but I used my saved up points for this order, so I'm not sure it's an option.

It was shocking how little color payoff it had since I am extremely pale and this is supposed to be super dark. I did all my skin prep as usual with any other self-tanner. Put it on and noticed it went on looking lighter than my usual tanners color guide. Left it on for about 4-5 hours, showered, and color never developed on me whatsoever.

Sucks. color is ok, but soon as you shower, completely gone.

As much as i shook the canister, the product never became the "mousse" it was intended ti be. It bubbled out of the canister as dark green goo. I applied it according to the directions, two days in a row and it failed to "tan" my skin

DOES NOT WORK! Smells horrible and literally leaves no tan behind. It transfers everywhere because it never dries.
