Step 1: Press and hold the oval button on the front of the device for 2 seconds to power it on. Wait 30 seconds for the curler to heat up. The curler is ready to use when the red silicone sensor at the upper tip of the device changes from red to white.
Step 2: Choose either the low or high temperature setting. When the oval button on the front of the device is yellow, it indicates the low temperature setting. To switch to the high temperature setting, simply press the oval button one more time. The high temperature setting is indicated by a green light.
Step 3: Rest the curler near the lash base and pull upward, then hold for 30 seconds along the lashes for a beautiful upswept curl. Repeat as necessary.
Step 4: That's it! It's that easy. To recharge, simply plug the included charging cable into the device and connect to any USB port. The device takes about 2 hours to full charge and should last for 2 hours on a full charge.

Not for straight/down-turned lashes
When using this product, I can see the tiniest curl/lift immediately after using, but it falls almost instantly. I do have straight/downturned lashes so it may work better for people who don't need as much help with their lashes.
No Curl in Humid Climate/Sent to Sis for Dry Climate test
This eyelash curler provided a nice lift and curl initially, but unfortunately, the effect was very temporary for me. I suspect the high humidity where I live may have played a significant role in its lack of staying power. To get a more comprehensive review, I'm sending it to my sister who lives in a very dry climate. I'm hoping she'll have better results and I'll update this review with her findings. Stay tuned!
It Works for Me, Results Vary Depending on Mascara
After reading the negative reviews, I was surprised I like this as much as I do. The results last longer with some mascaras than others, but that's the same with conventional curlers. What I appreciate most about this is that I can touch up/recurl later in the day without having to remove my mascara first (since using a pincher curler on mascara-ed lashes breaks them). It heats pretty fast, is easy to tell when it's ready, and the charge seems to last fairly well too. If it quits working after a reasonable amount of time, I will replace it.
Life changer
I use this with Thrive tubing mascara: the best mascara I've ever used. I first apply the mascara. When the curler is hot, I place it at the base of my lashes, which are stick straight. I slowly move the curler toward the end of my lashes, holding it at short intervals. My lashes go from stick straight to dramatically curled. My eyes look huge. This has been a life-changing tool. I could never use a manual curler because they just bend my lashes and pinch me every time. So I spent years using a spoon to curl my lashes because that's how my mom did it; that caused me to lose multiple lashes every day. The curl was never dramatic, and I'd usually end up with loose lashes in my eyes: irritating.
