Looks amazing...with the right products!
Like many others, I was pretty excited to have an e.l.f. pressed powder/compact to compliment the rest of their pretty incredible face products. Being part of the Halo Glow line, for it to have some sort of sheen and radiance was expected. When I first tried it, I used my go-to tinted serum from L'O...

Disappointed in this powder
Here's the thing, I do love a majority of the Halo Glow Line, but for me, this just doesn't work well. It is not good for acne prone and dry skin, in fact it emphasized my pores and dry patches. Plus, the shade range is VERY disappointing. I am a pale girly and I ordered the lightest shade, and I wa...

Would buy again
As an acne prone and combo skin girl I think it's a good product definitely pair with another powder. The only issue I do have with this is reapplying it for some reason when reapplied it looks very patchy.
Disco Ball with Textured Skin
I was so excited to try this powder. I used it with a fluffy brush to set my makeup and thought it looked ok at home. When I got to work and looked in a mirror under the office lighting, my makeup looked terrible. Every pore was highlighted and my skin looked shiny, bumpy and textured. My skin is dry, but this product can't be for oily skin due to the glowiness and texture highlight. I am not sure who this product works on. All I know is I was embarrassed all day and wanted to wash my face. I got home and threw it away.
Disappointed in this powder
Here's the thing, I do love a majority of the Halo Glow Line, but for me, this just doesn't work well. It is not good for acne prone and dry skin, in fact it emphasized my pores and dry patches. Plus, the shade range is VERY disappointing. I am a pale girly and I ordered the lightest shade, and I wanted to use it for my undereyes specifically, but it still is DARKER than my own foundation and makes wherever I would apply it look orangey. How is that even possible or okay? It does look nice on initial application and it does hold up well for longevity, but overall I think that Elf should send it back to the lab to not only extend their shade range by A LOT, but also allow it to work for other skin types, too.
100% not for dry skin.
I'm not sure if its because I have combo/dry skin, or if this product is actual trash but this looked absolutely horrible on my skin. DO NOT RECCOMEND.
Trial and error
So after trying this product for a couple weeks I found the best way to apply it is with a big fluffy brush. Dont use the puff or you might emphasize texture. I wore this on a "no makeup, makeup day" with just a little concealer and the whoa glow sunscreen and my skin looked amazing all day. I think this is gonna be a favorite of mine for summer.
