Another Great Thing From AboutFace
I am in love with all of the AboutFace products. I have been using the previous holographic set and wishing that they had these lighter colors. Recently I used their matte lilac purple as the base the new lighter shade in the inner corner and beginning of bottom lash line. I followed up with a deeper purple in their fractal glitter collection. My eye were stunning and the girls ar the salon wanted to know what i was using. When i apply this makeup I use the AboutFace brushes and they help out a lot. I even use them with other shadows.
Pretty
This eye paint has good opacity and lasts all day! No creasing which I was worried about. I am happy I tried it out.
OBSESSED
Ive used about face matte shadows for forever and i've tried her shimmer formula before and I was unimpressed, but these eyeshadow specifically have a mouse-y thicker texture, which makes it easy to blend with your finger or if you wanted to use a brush to diffuse it with a little bit of work it does actually diffuse. I got the unicorn pink, yellow gold shifty shade, and I actually think the formula of this is better than the Juvias place glitter shadows because it dried down in one piece even over the creases in my eyes versus breaking apart in the creases. It does settle into creases but eyes have folds so!! Ive worn it for 10 hours with no flaking. So beautiful!
I'm a Star
I've used a couple of the holo eye paints before and they're fantastic, but I'm a Star is easily the best one to get. on my fair skin it's a subtle but very pretty white to pink shimmer, and it looks great by itself. however! you can blend it together with another liquid/cream shadow and essentially have holo eyeshadow in whatever color you want. for that reason, it's a game changer. can't recommend it enough.
Not as Stunning as I Was Hoping
This product is 3 and 1/2 stars. The ultimate color is just a shifty pink to gold. I'll have to play around more with it more but it doesn't go on the eyes super well. I've found the best results are on the cheeks as highlighter and under the brow.
