I am so impressed by Hot Cakes and the layering mists. Hot Cakes smells exactly like a warm, buttery, maple syrup covered plate of pancakes. The whole bundle smells beautiful, very gourmand. Smells exactly like pancakes when sprayed. But the dry down? It smelt sour on my skin. No matter how i layered it. I love gourmand scents and immediately blind bought this set (I had never blind bought fragrance before). The perfume does actually smell like fresh buttery pancakes with syrup! My favorite combo so far is Hot Cakes + Berry Styles. Extra Whip is also very nice and sweet and smells quite light to me. The only body mist that disagrees with my nose is Hazel Split. There is an artificial chocolate smell in there that I have smelled in many chocolate flavored lip and candle products in the past, and I don't like it at all. Anyway, I love the smell and longevity of Hot Cakes and would buy the full size when the little guy runs out. Overall this is a great and creative fragrance kit!

i knew nothing about the brand and my ulta didnt have samples set out so i was diving in blind when i bought this. makes me smell like a literal pancake, like i just rolled around in an ihop. i love love love gourmant scents and this company knew how to do this one RIGHT.
