Ethique Beauty Hydrating Solid Shampoo Bar

I've tried a few of Ethique's prior block-shaped bars before, and this moon shape feels awkward to me (my hands are small). I understand that the shape is supposed to make it easier to wipe the bar over the hair. However, the wiping application tended to concentrate the product in one spot and made it difficult to rinse. This formula creates enough lather for me in the hands, so I just lathered then applied it to my hair. At first, it seemed to work well enough and rinsed more easily. But after about a month, despite using a clarifying shampoo bar every week, this Hydrating bar shampoo made my medium-coarse wavy hair unruly and feeling dry. I'm guessing there is some residue-causing ingredient that my hair does not like. My hair instantly felt and behaved better after switching back to a liquid shampoo. I still occasionally use Ethique's older St. Clements (citrus) bar as a clarifying shampoo, so I am not against using shampoo bars. This formula just didn't work well in my experience.

I was really hesitant about this product cause I've never heard of bar soap shampoo before, i honestly didn't think it would work but I loved it! I have thick curly hair and I didn't think it was going to feel clean, but the design of the bar makes it possible to scrub everything. I initially thought the soap bar was shaped like a moon just to look cute, and maybe that's why,but the moon shape makes it perfect for scrubbing around the scalp since it gives a nice grip and wraps around the scalp as your scrubbing. I saw a noticeable difference in my hair after one use. It was nourishing and left my hair soft. I was very surprised! Gifted by ethnique

Tried this complimentary from Ethique. This hydrating solid shampoo bar was a nice experience. It smells nice. Lathers up extremely well too. I was so glad to see how hydrated it left my hair. And so clean and bouncy too. I was excited and delighted to see how well it worked against my dandruff. 5/5 for me.

Loved this shampoo bar, helped with the inbetween full wash days smells good and washed well. It was easy to use and way faster than doing a full wash process. Could easily replace dry shampoo for me Gifted by ethique

This was my first time ever using a shampoo bar which was Gifted by ethique, and I have to say I don't mind it. It felt a little weird at first running a bar of soap on my head, but I was able to lather it through. I don't love the smell but it got the job done. My hair does feel softer and looks healthier. And it works for colored treated hair, so that's a plus!
