Pretty, But These Don't Stay in Place

These clips are very pretty and sparkly. They don't look cheap, and so far, the rhinestones have all stayed glued on for me. The metal clips are thick and feel pretty sturdy. They are advertised as creaseless and slip-free. I did find them to be creaseless, but unfortunately, they are not slip-free ...on my thick hair. One side of each clip has tiny ridges, but the other end that you attach to the hair is smooth. The ridges seem to be way too small to get a grip on my hair, so the clips move around.I find that these are good for doing my makeup, but I wouldn't actually wear them out. Since they don't leave a crease, they're great for pulling back my hair for 30 minutes or so without affecting my final hairstyle. Also, because they're so sparkly, they're easier to keep track of (I often lose bobby pins or other hair clips). However, since they don't stay in place, I wouldn't trust them to actually wear out and about. I fear they would eventually fall out.I'd recommend these if you're looking for something fun to use while you're doing your makeup or for other quick activities. They're pretty small (a little bigger than my thumb in size), so they could also be good to keep in your purse and pull out if you need to pull pieces of your hair back while you're out. However, I wouldn't recommend them for all-day wear. If you really want to wear them with an outfit, maybe use a bobby pin first and then put the hair clip over that. The product page does advertise them for makeup and hair styling, so maybe they aren't meant for all-day use.
