Q
This may not be the right product for me - Age 67, combo skin with life-long history of oily skin prior to moving to high desert low humidity city. I need an AM and PM regimen with good science-based mix of ingredients proven to work effectively. Ulta recommended Dermalogica. I need to deal with a couple large brown (sun) spots that BBL laser couldn't get rid of, fine lines, evening out skin tone, and skin that is beginning to loosen at the jaw line, and shadowing from loss of tissue below the eyes. I own a Red Light device have used 10% glycolic in cleanser or topical form for years about 3 times a week, alternating with AHA/BHA and physical exfoliant when cleansing . I recently started cleansing with an oil cleanser. I know Vitamin C, glycolic, retinol and possibly Niacinimide and/or Squalane all help with aging skin. Peptides and ceramacides are newer to me. What regimen can you suggest for a retired woman who wants quality but needs to also be cost conscious?

Hello, thank you for contacting Dermalogica. To address your concerns of dark spots we recommend Powerbright dark spot serum. This can be incorporated into a daily regimen of Skin Resurfacing Cleanser and Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF 50 with Lactic Acid concentrate, an Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA), helps retexturize skin showing signs of aging by removing dulling surface debris and helping to accelerate skin cell turnover and a moisturizer that visibly firms, hydrates skin and protects with Broad Spectrum SPF50. Q
I have come across many Dermalogia product reviews and Qs & As as I was looking for myself, but then some Qs & As lead me to ask on behalf of my 22 year old son. We relocated to the high desert (low humidity) from northern California semi coastal environment. Not only are his breathing allergies out of control (now receiving immune therapy) he now has developed what appears to be eczema and is very sensitive to products containing potentially irritating ingredients. He bathes with Vanicream and uses Cera Vie PM moisturizer (it's a liquid). Tea Tree oil is a CULPRIT as germ said most all other fragranced products (even if they are "natural). When customers ask about Intense Moisture Balance, Dermalogica's response is not for acne-prone or sensitive skin. So which of these (or other products) would be best for him: Active Moist or Calm After Gel or Special Cleanser or Skin Smoothing Cream? Which at day which at night?
Asked by Desiree
Official Answer By Dermalogica US - Brand Engage
Hello, thank you for contacting Dermalogica. For daytime we recommend Invisible Physical Defense SPF 30 to help soothe skin, and reduce UV-induced redness and dryness. Antioxidant Green Tea helps defend skin against free radical damage. Ideal for all skin types, including sensitive. For evening we recommend Calm Water Gel, a weightless water-gel moisturizer that hydrates dry, sensitive skin. Best Wishes, The Dermalogica TeamWas this answer helpful to you
Q
Is the tinted moisturizer in a tube still available? What compares if not?
Asked by Dojo
Official Answer By Dermalogica US - Brand Engage
Hello, thank you for contacting Dermalogica. We have 2 products that feature tint. Skin Perfect Primer SPF 30 works to Smooth fine lines, brighten and prime for flawless skin, and prep for make-up application. Velvety formula with Soy Protein helps even out skin texture, creating a smoother surface. A potent peptide helps support skin firmness as Broad Spectrum sunscreens help shield against sun damage triggered by UV light. PoreScreen SPF 40 is a multitasking sunscreen that delivers SPF 40 protection, while supporting healthy-looking pores, minimizing their appearance with a blurring, primer-like effect, and enhancing skin tone with a hint of tint for radiant skin. Sums up just what I need!

One day I made the brave decision to actually invest my money in good skincare products. After spending days upon days of researching great skin care products that are affordable, Dermalogica came to my rescue. I was done and tired of emptying out my wallet so many times for continuous drugstore pro...

Old formula was better

LOVED the older version of this lotion...very nourishing and pampering...then it seemed to get watery and less moisturizing. Still a good lotion but if I wanted a lighter lotion I would order one...now there doesn't seem to be a truly "intensive moisturizing" one on the dermalogica line...hope they ...

Smelly, no SPF. Ok for night

I was trying to upgrade my skincare routine with a daytime product that could also serve as a face sunscreen. Since I was already using Dermalogica eye cream, it made sense to look at their other products. I don't know how I ended up with this. Not what I expected and certainly not worth what I paid. I guess I'll use it as a night cream.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

I love this product of Dermalogica. I used Intensive Eye repair for more than 20 years. But sadly, they discontinued it. I used all of other Dermalogica eye creams and liked NONE of them. I wish they reproduce Intensive Eye repair soon.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
