Can the 33.8 oz pump be closed or 'locked' after opened? It will take awhile to get through this much shampoo, and I don't want the product exposed to air or moisture.

Used it and then proceeded to get small little boils all over my scalp that are incredibly painful. That was the only new product I used in my routine. It was also hot on when my head when I washed and left my hair feeling like straw.
