Begin with dry detangled hair. Divide hair at the temples and secure the top half out of the way. Then divide the bottom half into 1-2'' sections to begin styling. Hold the wand over your head with the tip pointing downward and wrap a section of hair around the barrel. Finish with the end of the section against the barrel tip. Hold for a few seconds then slide the wand out to release the wave.

This is a very dangerous tool. I used it for the first time today and granted it was on for over an hour at my station in the holder built in to my station drawer. My favorite brand! I do hair professionally and if I could only recommend one hot tool for the rest of my life it would be this one! I love the length for my long haired clients and how it is incredibly light weight. It's very easy to manipulate the type of curl put out!
All I can figure is my hair is too short
While this worked just as designed, I struggled with it, mainly because my hair must be too short. If it was longer, it would have been easier to wind it on the barrel if the wand. If you have longer than shoulder length hair, I believe this would work amazingly for you.
