The mechanics to flip back and forth between the sponge and powder has the powder susceptible to crack and break making a mess. Mine arrived this way in the mail. Cool in theory, but not in actuality.

I do not love matte finishes but for what it is, it's nice. It has a very soft and light feel to it as well which is nice and it doesn't feel too caked on.
