Twist up until tip is level with clear protective tubing & stop right there. (Exposing the tip too much may cause it to break!) Then, apply with light, gentle strokes in the direction of your natural hair growth. Blend with spoolie.

Never will purchase again
This brow pencil didn't even last a week! It kept breaking off. I was so excited when I found out they had a new golden brown, and waterproof, because I'm reddish-blonde and it's hard to find the right eyebrow color. The auburns are too red, blonde is too taupe, and medium brown is too dark in other pencils. I was so disappointed in this product. 😞

If you're breaking it, You're doing it wrong!
Maybe Benefit should've given more warning and education about this product, but it really is incredible. The brows come out so perfect and defined every single time. BUT, if you screw up the pencil more than a teensy tiny bit, yes it'll break. Just turn it up a very small amount and you'll stop breaking it!
Please bring new shades!

Perfect detailer
My eyebrows started falling out in 2023 due to some health issues and now I have hardly any eyebrows. The Precisely My Brow Fine Detailer in 3.5 is perfect for me but I was missing an even finer detailer in the right shade until this micro detailer. After I draw in the outer 3/4 of my brows, I brush to soften and diffuse the color with the spoolie so the inside of the brows have somr color. I then carefully draw in hairs on the inner 1/4 of my brows. I brush out to diffuse snd add more hair strokes as needed. If my brows need more shaping or shading, I go back in with the bigger pencil until I get my brows right. This is a detailer pencil so you should only be lightly drawing in hair strokes. Press lightly! This pencil is not for filling in your brows.
