LORAC PRO Palette Fairytale Forest

Ive had my eye on this palette for a long time and finally ordered it during the sale. I feel like I got a messed up palette because its labeled fairytale, but none of thr colors are what is shown.

I purchased this palette during the 21 days of beauty sale. I have seen Lorac products around and thought how I was interested in trying them, so this event was the perfect opportunity. I have several observations and I hope this helps anyone who wants to try this palette out. My first impressions were a little lackluster. The packaging doesn't grab you, but it seems like the brand is more minimal in general with its presentation. I also thought the pans were really small for the price. I have a lot of palettes, and I'm used to a bigger pan. I now have changed my mind about that since my eyeshadow brush fits perfectly in it. That being said, that is where my disinterests stopped. I tried it out and initially I did feel like it needed more build up than I expected from a palette in this price range, but honestly I think that's a good thing. It allows this palette to be more modest and casual, or more intense and bold depending on what you're going for. That is a part of what makes it good for transitioning from work to evening out, casual wear, or date night so flawlessly. But more than that, it has a great range of colors. I believe the mattes were very carefully selected. I can do a casual smoky eye very easily, or I can do a more glam version of it. I can also achieve a very blow you out of the water eye look with the various gorgeous shimmers available. The shimmers only need one finger swipe to give beautiful payoff. I did not notice any fallout and I do find myself reaching for this palette every time I put makeup on now. The last few times I've put on makeup, I grabbed this palette. Lastly, the shadows blend flawlessly into one another. Not too much work is needed to blend them and create a seamless look. They go on butter smooth! Overall, I like how versatile the palette is and the excellent range of colors that I feel could be used year-round. If I could suggest any improvements, I think something a bit more interesting packaging-wise would have been great since it's called Fairytale Forest. I also wish given the color story there was a black shade included, maybe in place of one of the shimmers. I am now interested in trying more Lorac palettes and far more confident buying them at their normal price point. I would highly recommend this palette to anyone.

Well, when I got the palette, I was shocked of how small the palette is and then when I opened it, each pan was so tiny! OMG! These palettes/pans ( not the only one cause I got 2 of them that was on sale ) are so stinkin' small. The pics on here made it look like an average size palette. I'm just glad that I got it for 19 bucks but I would definitely not pay 39 bucks for them EVER! So if ur gonna want this palette or any of this size pan palette, I would wait for their 50% off sale for sure. I haven't tried the shadows yet cause I just got these but I wanted to come on here and let you guys know about the size of the pans and overall palette before u pay full price as that is what is right now cause the salenis over for these.

I got this palette on sale and was honestly just looking for something compact that had a mirror. It has become my go to for everyday makeup and glam looks. The eyeshadows blend extremely well and the shimmers apply beautifully whether it is with my finger or packed on a small defining brush for more precise application. I plan to gift this palette to friends and family as they commonly ask to borrow mine.

It has great pigment and just the right anount of sparkle you need.
