Surprisingly amazing for curly gray/white hair
I have almost completely gray/white 3B/C curls in my early 40s. I normally do not use any product that isn't explicitly for curly hair, but I took a chance on this purple shampoo because the reviews were so good. It is FANTASTIC. I didn't need much, and it did not strip my hair or make it feel stiff. Bonus: it didn't dye my hands or my shower purple. I highly recommend using this with the corresponding conditioner. My hair looks so much better than when I use my $$$ prestige products, which I am going to finish and then switch to Odele!!

Increases Shedding
I used the shampoo and conditioner several times a week for a whole summer because I wanted to tone/brighten my naturally blonde hair and take out the reddish/orange tint it can have. People did say that my hair looked lighter, but that could've just been because I was in the sun all the time. But it definitely made my hair fall out more than normal. At first I thought it was a coincidence, but even just using a different shampoo the next wash, less hair fell out. I haven't used it for a few months, and even less hair is shedding, but my hair feels thinner overall, so I'm hoping it'll grow back in time.
