Holes well but flakes a lot!
I love that this gel keeps my hair soft and it does hold the curls. My curls last for over a week when I use this gel when typically they will start to fall flat after one. However, there's a huge problem! It flakes so bad. Even though the product is non-flaking. I am getting an extreme amount of flakes and it looks disgusting. It looks like I have dandruff. This makes it really hard for me to continue using. I love the result of the curls, but I do not like having white flakes all over that arw so hard to remove. I can literally see the flakes flying through the air as I'm breaking the cast on the curls. It's everywhere.

I'm 2a wave. Usually normal gel doesn't hold for the next day tho it holding my wave even 2nd day.

Product really dried out my curls and couldn't define my 4c curls. I did enjoy the light weight feel and consistency of the product but it just simply didn't work well for me personally.

Hair Type Wavy Hair
I've been a Deva Curl girl since 2007 and this is my fave gel EVER! I had been using Deva Supercream followed by Deva ultra defining gel. My curls looked good while my hair was wet, but after air drying, would look dry and frizzy. This Quench and Define gel, emphasizes my waves and curls, gives my hair shine, cuts down on frizz for 3 days and gives a little lift at the roots. I love it!
No definition no curl cast
I was hoping this would be a replacement for the Supreme gel that they discontinued and since they said it was a stronger hold that the Ultra gel I gave it a try. It's like putting water in my hair. I guess it's easy to apply and smells nice but there is no definition, no curl cast. My first day curls don't look great at all and there's nothing at all left for day 2 and later. Am returning to store.
