Start with dry/styled hair. Load up small end of the brush. Pull hair flat and taught against your head, then press brush down firmly into roots, starting from scalp and working out. Do not use sweeping motion. Apply more powder as needed. Use same technique to fill in hairlines or extend highlights.

I read another reviewer saying it and it's true, this is overpriced eyeshadow! I tried eyeshadow and worked the same, but cheaper. I bought during savings event, very happy with it. I included a side by side comparison that shows a light layer of it applied. You can build it up, no sticky feeling, lasts between washes just minor touch up. Next time I'll go a shade darker.

Doesn't work for me
I have dark brown fine hair and I've tried covering up my roots with this stuff, and it will not adhere at all, but it certainly sticks to my scalp and covers it. Really not sure where these reviews are coming from on this product.
