Better Than Expected…

As someone who is always on the hunt for good spf's, AND is a fan of Good Molecules I thought I would try this out. Now I usually use Korean chemical spf, because US chemical ones irritate me, and with brown skin, it's hard to find mineral spf in general that doesn't leave an unfavorable white cast....

Not 100% Mineral Sunscreen

Despite being advertised as a mineral sunscreen, sadly this is a hybrid. Upon first use I could tell something was off when it starting stinging my eyes and face. It contains 5% Butyloctyl Salicylate. If you are sensitive to chemical or even hybrid sunscreens, beware. I would consider this a mild h...

Adverse Reaction.

I had initally used this product for over a year, with no significant issues. I used it a couple days ago (I knew id be out in the sun). I got home and thought " huh I sunburned". I may have, but I believe I had an adverse reaction to the product. It was the only thing "different" about my routine that morning. I had a rash around my jaw line , that was itchy. My skin is still super red and inflamed, which is probably a combination of sunburn/adverse reaction. If you have sensitive skin at baseline, or take medications that increase your risk for sensitivy to UV exposure- I would not recommend this product. If you have dry- to mid type skin, that is not very sensitive- this would probably be a good prodcut for you!

Good product-questionable packaging

Overall, I would say this is good sunscreen. Its scentless and applies smoothly and looks practically nonexistent on the skin. However, I have issue with the packaging. The cap leads to a lot of products being jammed inside the cap. The trapped sunscreen made the tube messy as time went on. I like this product, but unless they change the cap to be anything else, I would hesitate this to buy this again.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

I wish it was a pump bottle. Product is a bit runny so shaking works for me. No white cast and it blends nice. No breakouts/rashes frkm usage. I recommend as a budget friendly product.

Love the formula. Hate the packaging.

I loved the formula of this sunscreen! For reference, I have sensitive skin that is on the drier side. I never noticed any white cast and the sunscreen did not dry me out and it sat well under my makeup. The tube also lasted me about five months using it daily. However, the product leaks out of the tube into the cap, making a mess and wasting product. For this reason I will be buying a different mineral sunscreen this time around and I wouldnt reccomend this to anybody else.

Allergic reaction?

I used to use this years ago but switched up my skincare routine, but i did love it back then! I randomly ended up using it one day since i was at a friend's who had it and….im pretty sure it gave me an allergic reaction bc hours after using it my skin swelled up, became red, itchy, and irritated. Days later im still slowly recovering from it. Idk if the formula or my skin changed in the time i didn't use it but be careful if this does the same thing to you as it did me, not fun.
