Q
What is the difference between the acne blemish toner in the blue bottle and this product? Just the snail infusion?
Asked by adult acne prone
Official Answer By Peach & Lily - Brand Engage
Hello! Both of these products are addressing acne in a very different way. The Acne Exfoliating Toner is using an OTC strength BHA to exfoliate and address pores and active acne while the Snail Rescue Blemish Busting Toner is using snail mucin and centella to address the inflammation associated with acne. Oily and acne skin may use both or switch back and forth. Some people find that using a 2% BHA twice per day can be a little much for the skin (since it is exfoliating) so they opt to use the Acne Exfoliating Toner in the day and the Snail Rescue Toner in the evening or they may "skin cycle" and only use BHAs on certain days and more calming products on other days. These are absolutely interchangeable products. If you are concerned about oiliness we suggest the Acne Exfoliating Toner during the day and the Snail Rescue Toner in the evening for the best balance. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Could this product be used in conjuction with a powder exfoliant, or should I use them on different days?
Asked by Kat
Official Answer By Peach & Lily - Brand Engage
Yes, this product is extremely gentle and does not have any harsh actives so it can be paired with any treatments or exfoliators you are using. You can use this everyday regardless of exfoliation. Was this answer helpful to you

Pleasant and Hydrating

As a woman with acne, I didn't exactly find this toner to be "blemish busting" but that's not what I really expected or wanted from it in the first place. I like how it's really hydrating and potentially beneficial for wound healing (I regrettably pick my skin sometimes and acne lesions are basica...

Made me break out

I used this in the morning after I wash my face with my cleanser. This product did hydrate my skin, but it made my acne significantly worse. I went from getting small whiteheads to large, painful, cystic acne all over my face. At first, it was hard for me to even realize that it was this product tha...

Watered Down Now

I used to LOVE this toner. I bought it on a whim once and while I was using it, noticed it's viscosity reminded me of snail mucus. Then I saw it was actually written on the bottle! I really liked it's unique and hydrating feeling and noticed a pretty big improvement on my skin. I bought another bottle when I ran out and noticed this bottle looked a bit different. Usually not a good sign. I tried it and it's a thinner consistency now. Runs like water now. My skin went a bit more downhill since getting my second bottle and it's not making the improvements it did before. Will use what I got but probably won't buy again.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Not a Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence dupe

I have oily and sensitive skin. I tried this after using the Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence for years since a lot of people said the two were the exactly the same, except Peach Slices' was much less expensive. I had such high hopes for it too since their pimple patches are amazing! Unfortunately, it broke my skin out into tons of whitehead pimples all along my temples, cheeks, and nose. Despite it being lightweight and watery (different texture compared to Cosrx), it didn't feel hydrating or effective, nor have any of the benefits it was said to provide.
