No white cast, light, non-irritating. Good sunscreen.

I have neutral undertone, medium-light skin. This sunscreen does not leave any white cast on my skin. The product has a light texture and applies well and smoothly. I have not noticed any pilling. I have combination skin. This product does not dry out my skin and does not make my skin look mat. It a...

Good but not the best

This is definitely the best more affordable spf I've tried. Affordable spfs tend to be super thick greasy and don't wear great under makeup but this is by far the smoothest and nicest affordable spf I've tried so far. If it's within youre budget I'd definitely recommend it over others. However in co...

My holy grail SPF. I would rec this to everyone. There's barely any white cast and is mineral! I decided to buy this because I saw Liah Yoo recommend it and I have no regrets! I'm so glad I found this!!!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Not my favorite, perhaps I received a bad batch

I was so excited to try this spf, the ingredients seemed great and there are no pore cloggers in it. But unfortunately it separated so badly on my skin. It was like the spf filters separated from the rest of the formula, so there were little white streaks all over my face that took a while to blend in and ended up pilling on me and leaving a bit of a greasy residue. I'm not sure if I received a bad batch or something? As far as the smell, it's really not that bad. Its a fragrance-free product so the sour smell is just what the ingredients smell like. FWIW I have noticed that all zinc-based spfs have that smell.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

i really like how the texture of this formula is smooth, doesnt leave a greasy or thick residue on my skin. lightweight, easy to apply, and i always love a 40 spf. however. the stench. i hold my breath when applying this on my skin every morning to try and avoid accidentally catching a whiff. somewhere between stinky socks and the musty scent in the back of a minivan thats driven too many kids home from soccer practice- its quite suspect. if you're like me and have a sensitive sniffer- i'd say stay away! i wouldn't recommend this product to a friend- but maybe someone i got in an argument with a couple months ago that was never resovled.
